After you found out that you are pregnant, it is best to know what activities you should avoid during pregnancy. Some hard impact activities may lead to baby’s death in your womb. So here are the things you should avoid

Basically you should avoid any high impact activities. American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) also notes that activities at altitudes above 6,000 feet may carry some risks, because less oxygen is available for you and your baby.

Here are couple of activities you should avoid:

• Amusement park rides: especially waterslides and other rides, this is because sudden start or stop could harm your baby.

• Bicycling: if you are an expert, you can cycle until your second trimester. However be careful, shifting center of gravity affects balance and can make cycling dangerous.

• Soccer, basketball, football, volleyball and hockey: this is obvious, collision with others can be harmful for you and your baby

• Downhill skiing: downhill skiing anytime during pregnancy may result in serious injuries and hard falls. A safer choice is cross-country skiing, which is also much better for building cardiovascular fitness. Avoid skiing at altitudes above 6,000 feet, where there’s less oxygen for you and your baby.

• Gymnastics: Danger of falling and increased chance of trauma to your abdomen.

• Horseback riding: Even if you’re a expert rider, it’s not worth risking a fall.

• Post-sport tubs and saunas: Soaking in hot tubs and Jacuzzis causes overheating and has been linked to birth defects.

• Running: From your second trimester on, the risk of falling increases, hence you should run with caution. However, avoid becoming overheated, and drink plenty of water to replace fluids lost through sweating.

• Scuba diving: As you surface, air bubbles can form in your bloodstream, which can be very dangerous for both you and your growing baby.

• Surfing: this is a high impact activity and increases a chance of trauma to your abdomen.

• Tennis: A moderately paced game of tennis is okay if you played before you became pregnant. But you may have problems with balance and sudden stops, so watch your step. Most women find that it’s hard to keep up their game as their bellies get bigger in the second and third trimesters.

• Waterskiing: Another activity that puts you at risk for falling and increases the chance of trauma to your abdomen.

During your first trimester of pregnancy, one of the symptoms that you might experience is increasing sex appetite. Because of that you then wonder, is it ok to receive oral sex during pregnancy? If it is ok, until what months can I still receive it? Find out the answer below

Actually receiving tongue action (licking) is okay, but it’s not safe to blow into the genital area. Forcing or blowing air into the vaginal and urethral areas is not okay according to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Theoretically, if your partner blew hard enough, it could cause an embolism (a bubble of air) to develop in a blood vessel in that area, and that could be harmful for you or the baby.

However, make sure that you are doing a monogamous relationship and your partner are HIV-negative. If you are not sure about his HIV status, then get a dental dam to prevent anything to be transmitted.

Every woman experince a fatigue back during pregnancy, especially in the late trimester. We can’t really escape from this uncomfortable back pain, but there are some ways to relieve it.

Always keep a good body posture. Stand as straight as you can with lifted chin, and hold your stomach in. Try to avoid lifting heavy things. But if you do, never bend your waist, but kneel your leg down, put your stuff close to the body while standing up.

Do some exercise to strengthen your abdominal muscle and relax the pelvic area. Kneel down with both palms on the floor and keep your back straight (like a cat position). Pull in your abdominal muscle and lift your lower back up. Hold it for about 5 counts while exhaling your breath. Release your abdominal muscle and let your lower back goes down slowly into straight position while inhaling your breath. Repeat it again for ten times.

Some other ways to release your fatigue back is to have plenty of rest or sleep. Ask your husband or friend to rub your back gently. A warm bath also soothes your back muscle.
