Some of you might be thinking of going to somewhere cold for vacation, but unfortunately, you are pregnant. Now is it safe for pregnant moms to go to cold high altitude places? Here’s the answer
Experts say that as long as you keep the temperature at the right level it is totally fine to go to cold high places. The right temperature is one that’s warm enough but not too hot that you raise your body temperature, which could be dangerous for your developing baby.
However, keep in mind that pregnancy makes you short of breath. So if you’re not used to being at a high altitude where there’s less oxygen in the air, you’re going to compound your shortness of breath. And you won’t have as much endurance and stamina as you would at low altitudes. Research have proven that women who live at a high altitude tend to have slightly smaller babies.

During your first trimester of pregnancy, one of the symptoms that you might experience is increasing sex appetite. Because of that you then wonder, is it ok to receive oral sex during pregnancy? If it is ok, until what months can I still receive it? Find out the answer below
Actually receiving tongue action (licking) is okay, but it’s not safe to blow into the genital area. Forcing or blowing air into the vaginal and urethral areas is not okay according to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Theoretically, if your partner blew hard enough, it could cause an embolism (a bubble of air) to develop in a blood vessel in that area, and that could be harmful for you or the baby.
However, make sure that you are doing a monogamous relationship and your partner are HIV-negative. If you are not sure about his HIV status, then get a dental dam to prevent anything to be transmitted.

Every woman experince a fatigue back during pregnancy, especially in the late trimester. We can’t really escape from this uncomfortable back pain, but there are some ways to relieve it.
Always keep a good body posture. Stand as straight as you can with lifted chin, and hold your stomach in. Try to avoid lifting heavy things. But if you do, never bend your waist, but kneel your leg down, put your stuff close to the body while standing up.
Do some exercise to strengthen your abdominal muscle and relax the pelvic area. Kneel down with both palms on the floor and keep your back straight (like a cat position). Pull in your abdominal muscle and lift your lower back up. Hold it for about 5 counts while exhaling your breath. Release your abdominal muscle and let your lower back goes down slowly into straight position while inhaling your breath. Repeat it again for ten times.
Some other ways to release your fatigue back is to have plenty of rest or sleep. Ask your husband or friend to rub your back gently. A warm bath also soothes your back muscle.

Most woman, including me want to get rid or at least lessen the amazon jungle down there. Bikini wax is the best solution for it. It’s clean, fast, and smooth on skin, although it’s a little painful compared to shaving. How bout when you’re pregnant, is it save to get bikini wax during pregnancy?
Our belly is getting bigger, the skin stretches. Some stretch marks appear to some women. Those who are used with bikini wax might not have second thought about getting it done during pregnancy. Well, yes, you still can have bikini wax, but you have to bear with the pain. It’s so much more painful than when you’re not pregnant. Every woman has different level of sensitivity. The after wax will leave your skin red and some might break the blood vessel.
I would recommend you to wait until you give birth to have a bikini wax. But if you couldn’t wait, use the hardwax. It’s less painful than the regular wax.
My own experience:
I wanted to get a bikini wax during pregnancy. Well, like any other woman, I like to have it clean and neat. I asked around. It’s okay to have one but you just need to bear the pain, which is probably 50 times more painful than the usual one. I’m sure you still want to have a nice smooth skin even after giving birth. So, I think it’s better to do it after childbirth. Some women might have scars from bikini wax from the broken blood vessel. Be smart, ladies

You are pregnant and dying to know that the sex of you baby is. When can doctors usually tell the sex of my baby? Find out the answer below
Usually the sex of the baby can be determined after the 16th week of pregnancy. It’s most commonly done at 20 weeks, and if she had that done about three months ago. However, you can sometimes know the sex of the baby sooner if you do genetic testing or an IVF or something like that. But generally, ultrasounds can be used to determine sex around 16-20 weeks. However, it is important to note that they aren’t 100% accurate at determining the sex.
This also depends on the position of the baby inside your tummy. If the baby’s hip is covering the crouch area, then it is harder to determine if the baby is boy/girl. But usually after 20 weeks it is obvious if the baby is girl or boy.
My own experience
On the 16th week, the baby’s hip covered the crouch area, so the doctor could not determine the sex of my baby. It was on the 20th week that I found out that my baby is a girl. The doctor pointed a camel toe on the crouch area. We were happy when we found out about it and quickly find a good name for a baby girl.

As you go to the first trimester, you feel that you get tired easily. You sleep a lot and feel very weak everyday. Is this normal? find out the answer
Getting very exhausted is common during the first trimester. What preggy women usually remember about this stage is a constant feeling of fatigue. Being pregnant puts a strain on your entire body, which make your body extremely tired.
Another reason might be because you body receive a dramatic rise in progesterone, thus contributing to your sluggishness. Nausea and vomiting also cost you energy. Moreover, you may also be feeling anxious about your pregnancy, which can be tiring also.
Sum those up and you can see why you get very very exhausted during first trimester. However, if you are still feeling very exhausted a few weeks after your first trimester, you should consult your physician.
My own experience
On my first trimester (maybe week 5-8) I felt very tired all the time. I could sleep all day and still feel sleepy. I also feel lazy to go out from home. I just want to sleep sleep and sleep. However, the fatigue is gone after the first trimester.

The scariest thing that you don’t like about being pregnant is the weight gain. Most of your friends could not gain their before pregnancy body and get fatter and fatter. So you promise yourself to keep slim and thin even during pregnancy. Is it actually ok to go on diet while pregnant ? Is it healthy or not?
Unfortunately it is not recommended to go on diet while pregnant. Pregnancy is not the time to diet. Normally, you should gain about 25 to 30 pounds during pregnancy. If you are overweight, then you may want to target for the lower end of that range.
On average you should be getting about 2,500 calories a day (that’s up from about 2,100 when you’re not pregnant). You and your baby definitely need those calories. Some gain is inevitable given the weight of the baby, the enlarged uterus, the placenta, and the amniotic fluid. But that’s weight that should disappear quickly once the baby is born.
Actually, babies are mostly efficient in getting what they need, so if you don’t eat enough, there is more threat to your health than your baby’s. However, there’s still a risk that the baby will grow poorly if you’re malnourished.
My own experience
I gained 17kg during my pregnancy. During my pregnancy I thought about dieting, but then I do not want my baby to be malnourished. My baby is more important than my appearance. My thinking is “all those celebrities and supermodels can lose baby fat, why can’t I ?” On my first week after giving birth, I lost 10 kg, and now after 1 month of giving birth, I already lost total of 13 kg. It’s not that bad.

You are a seaweed freak and can’t live without eating seaweed even for a day. As you get pregnant, you wonder, is seaweed good for the baby?
Actually eating seaweed is good for the baby. Some even say that seaweed will stimulate the baby to have a good beautiful hair.
Another source even suggest that seaweed contains the same ingredients in a pregnant woman’s belly. Our body fluid contain the same mineral composition as the seawater, and seaweed, being the ocean’s main plant of life, is a sponge to lots of mineral and good stuff in the sea. So when you are consuming seaweed, the seaweed will then provide your belly with lots of the same mineral needed by the womb.
My personal experience
My friend told me that her daughter has a very thick silky hair. She said she ate a lot of seaweed while she was pregnant. Her baby is now 17 years old and has beautiful hair.
