Celebrities are human too, some celebrities also face infertility problems. Infertility is definitely a tough situation, let’s find out how some celebrities deal with this problem

Some celebrities choose to use in vitro fertilization to get pregnant and carry their own children. Others have to use a surrogate who will carry the baby for them (but the baby will typically have their own DNA). And still others will opt to use adoption to create their families. Any of these may be good fertility solutions and all have been used by different celebrities.

Here are some of the celebrities who have opted to use in vitro fertilization to get pregnant and make babies:

  • Marcia Cross
The Desperate Housewives star has been one of the first celebrities who did in vitro fertilization. She’s now a mom of her in vitro twins.
  • Nicole Kidman
Nicole has faces fertility problems for a long long time. When she was still married to Tom Cruise, she got pregnant but miscarried. Now married to Keith Urban, after months of fertility treatments, she successfully got pregnant.
  • Dixie Chicks
Two of the three Dixie Chicks (Martie Maguire and Emily Robison) have used in vitro fertilization to get pregnant. Maguire is currently pregnant with her second in vitro baby.
  • Celine Dion
Celine made news when she decided to have her eggs frozen for future implantation. She hasn’t used those frozen eggs yet but she already had one child as a result of in vitro fertilization.
  • Cindy Margolis
Cindy had her first child, Nicholas through in vitro fertilization/GIFT in 2002. Her two daughters, Sabrina and
Sierra were born prematurely by a surrogate on July 17, 2005. VH1 even ran a special highlighting Cindy’s
career and struggle with infertility. Cindy recently published a guide about navigating infertility
    diagnosis and treatment.
  • Brooke Shields
Brooke Shields had her daughter, Rowan after many in vitro fertilization cycles. Brooke now speaks out on infertility (and yes, postpartum
depression). She even wrote a book called Down Came the Rain chronicles about her struggles with infertility and postpartum depression.

  • About the Blog

Hi everyone! My name is Maria Dewi (I am a classical pianist, you can see my separate blog about classical music here). This blog is a real life story, sort of like my personal pregnancy and motherhood journal. Everything written in here is based on my own experience thus really happened in true life. I know how blurry it is to have your first baby, so if any of you are first time parents like me, you can just join me with my journey.
