For some woman, being pregnant is like a good excuse from controlling food portion or from doing regular exercise. Now that you have a baby in your womb, you can say to yourself “I’m pregnant, I should not do any work out or restrict my food portion. Well woman, unfortunately you are wrong. While you are pregnant, you should still watch your diet and exercise. So what exercise should you do during pregnancy?
Obviously you can not do any high impact exercise. While I was in my first trimester, I worked out pretty heavily using weight, sit ups, etc because I want to have a nice bikini body ready for my honeymoon. Then, I consulted to my doctor, and doctor said I should not do heavy exercise. The doctor recommends walking and swimming as a way of getting regular exercise.
Since I am not that into swimming and walking (walking is too light for me), I slacked off throughout my second trimester, until my backache started to strike. Almost every morning and night, I feel pain in my backjoint, and arm joint. My husband then changed profession to a massage therapist every night (hee..hee). Anyway, so I asked my doctor, and doctor recommended me to do some swimming in the morning.
So I did, I put on my t shirt and shorts while I swim (instead of buying a maternity swimsuit). And actually, it worked! My backpain and joint pain disappear as I swam regularly. So there you go, while you are pregnant, you should swim (ok but not olympic racing butterfly strokes, ok, just do slow breast strokes slowly).
